Cristina Hernandez Villar has more than ten years of litigation experience and focuses her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, contracts, commercial transactions, commercial real estate, D&O liability and securities regulations. She also represents officers of condominium association boards.
As part of her commercial litigation practice, she handles matters involving breach of contract, defamation, construction, and securities. She also handles business and commercial disputes including administrative and arbitrations matters. She also enjoys providing in-house presentations to her clients on the topics of local and federal Rules of Civil Procedures, employment discrimination, and labor law.
Ms. Villar previously worked as a financial examiner and analyst with the Florida Office of Financial Regulations, Bureau of Securities, performing examinations of securities for broker/dealers, hedge funds, and investment advisers involving prevailing industry standards and regulations.
Ms. Villar is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of Catalan.
