Carter's career at Georgia-Pacific LLC began in 2001, where they worked in various roles including Supply Chain Optimization Manager from August 2007 to October 2010, Logistics Analyst from January 2006 to August 2007, Reusable Plastic Container Inventory/Production Manager from January 2003 to December 2005, and Inventory Planner from September 2001 to December 2002.

Before their corporate career, Carter served in the United States Army as an Officer in the Infantry/Quartermaster branch from June 1997 to June 2001.

Carter Noland attended Wofford College from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Later on, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Mercer University - Stetson School of Business and Economics.
