Laura L. Thornton

Laura L. Thornton is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in writing and editing across various sectors. Currently, as a Senior Writer and Editor at Kennedy Krieger Institute since October 2016, Laura contributes to the institution's publications, including the biannual magazine "Potential" and the annual gratitude report. Previous roles include Communications Specialist at Johns Hopkins Medicine, freelance journalist and architectural historian, and Reporter/Editor for DecisionHealth’s "Home Health Line." Laura’s background in architecture and journalism is supported by a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, a Master of Architectural History from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Journalism from the University of Maryland.
