Samantha Abney

Samantha Abney is an experienced higher education professional currently serving as the Assistant Director of Student Conduct and Community Coordinator at Kennesaw State University since May 2021. In this role, Samantha supervises 25 student resident assistants and oversees a suite-style first-year residence hall accommodating approximately 900 residents, along with programming and adjudicating conduct cases. Prior to this, Samantha held various positions at the University of West Georgia, including Residence Life Coordinator and Resident Director, where responsibilities involved supervising multiple resident assistants and advising hall council members. Additionally, Samantha completed internships focused on residence education and fraternity and sorority life, while gaining early experience as a crew member at Chick-fil-A and a resident assistant at Kennesaw State University. Samantha holds a Master of Education in Student Affairs - Counseling from the University of West Georgia and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University.
