Michaela Schutte

Michaela Schutte is an experienced professional in international development and finance, currently serving as Head of Division at KfW since November 2021. Prior roles include National Seconded Expert at the European Commission and AFD - Agence Française de Développement from October 2019 to August 2019, and Directrice Finance and Processes at Agence de Médecine Préventive from July 2015 to July 2017. Michaela's extensive tenure at KfW spans various leadership positions, including Director of country offices and Head of division, from April 2011 to July 2015 and July 2008 to June 2010, respectively. Michaela has also held the position of Senior Desk Officer at Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) in 2007. Michaela's educational background includes a Certificate from INSEAD in Social Entrepreneurship, an Executive MBA from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and Maastricht University, and a Master's degree in Sociology from Bielefeld University.
