Ryno is an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures, working with portfolio companies on all matters related to finance.

Most recently, Ryno was president and chief financial and administrative officer of Restoration Hardware (RH), the leading U.S. luxury furniture brand. His RH role included all areas of finance, accounting, treasury, IR, legal and regulatory compliance. Earlier, Ryno was chief business officer at Wheels Up, the membership-based private aviation startup, which operates its own fleet of 100+ aircrafts across the U.S.

Ryno began his financial career at Xoom, Inc. where he was CFO and chief risk officer for 10 years. He was a key player in the company’s journey from a team of 50 to a successful IPO and subsequent sale to PayPal.

Before moving to the Bay Area, Ryno worked in the UK assisting new hedge fund managers with their FCA regulatory compliance, accounting and tax challenges. He holds a bachelor’s (Honors) degree in accounting from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
