Alice Bumstead is a Trainee Patent Attorney at Kilburn & Strode since October 2022, following a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge, completed in September 2022. Alice's academic journey includes a Masters research project at the University of St Andrews focused on the formation of a surface covalent organic framework and various undergraduate research projects under the supervision of Professor Paul Wright and Professor Jim Scott FRS. Additionally, Alice has participated in the Laidlaw Internship, investigating metal-oxide nanoparticles within metal-organic frameworks for catalytic applications. Prior educational achievements encompass an MChem (Honours) in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews and attendance at Linlithgow Academy from 2007 to 2013.
