Senior 2D Concept and Marketing Artist at KIXEYE

Ian Tolmay has had a long and successful career in the art and gaming industry. In 2005, they began their career as a Concept Artist, Designer, and Animator at Big Blue Bubble. In 2009, they moved to pixelStorm as Lead Artist. From 2010 to 2013, they were Art Director, Production Artist, Concept Artist, UI Artist, Flash Artist, and Art Outsourcing Head at Games Cafe. In 2013, they joined CatStatic Interactive as a Modeler and Texturing, creating 3D assets for architectural previsualization. In 2015, they became 2D/3D Art Lead at Blue Isle Studios. In 2020, they moved to Heavy Metal as an Illustrator. Currently, they are a Senior 2D Concept and Marketing Artist at KIXEYE, providing Concept Art and Marketing materials using 2D and 3D techniques for fast paced Live Ops production.

Ian Tolmay's education history includes a Certificate in Game Art and Animation from Seneca College (2012-2013), a Classical Animation Diploma from Sheridan College and Maxx the Mutt Animation (1998-2004), and a Yes from Max the Mutt Animation School (2000-2004). Ian studied Classical Animation and Art Fundamentals at Sheridan College, and Game Art and Animation at Seneca College.
