Brian Rogers

Chair at KCB

Brian joined KCB’s Calgary office in 1991 and helped successfully grow its dam and water infrastructure business, and later its oil sands business in northern Alberta. His experience includes the design and construction of water retaining dams, irrigation projects, transportation and infrastructure projects, tailings dams, mine waste rock disposal schemes, and arctic offshore hydrocarbon developments. He has worked on projects in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, the Canadian Beaufort Sea, offshore Newfoundland, offshore Sakhalin Island in Russia, and in the Middle East.

Brian’s technical skills are matched by his business acumen. He understood that the company should have a strong association with First Nations and entered into several joint-venture agreements with Indigenous business groups. His legacy continues today with subsidiary IEG Consultants’ work in the Mackenzie River delta.

Brian was promoted to Manager Alberta in 2000, and became Vice President of the Alberta business unit in 2006, successfully growing the group by organic growth and the acquisition of IEG Energy, Mack, Slack & Associates and Ecomark. He led the Alberta business unit until 2018, when he became chair of the company’s Board of Directors.
