Darren Thompson

Darren Thompson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy and marketing sectors. Currently serving as Head of Food & Beverage and Strategy Consultant at Koa Switzerland & Ghana since January 2024, Darren has also been a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Namene Solar since October 2017. Prior to this, Darren held significant leadership roles at Yingli Solar and Phoenix Solar AG, including Managing Director and Marketing Director for Europe. With a strong foundation in marketing from Shell, where a range of managerial positions were held, Darren's early career includes engineering experience at Rolls-Royce as a Gas Turbine Technology Engineer. Educational credentials include a CPD Diploma in The Art of Storytelling from the International School of Storytelling and a Master's level distinction in Financial Strategy from The Open University, among other qualifications.
