Fernando Correa

Fernando Correa has extensive experience in biochemistry and biophysics, currently serving as Executive Director at Kodiak Sciences since March 2017, with prior roles including Senior Director and Director of Discovery Medicine. Before Kodiak Sciences, Fernando worked at the Advanced Science Research Center at City University of New York from October 2014 to September 2016 as a Senior Research Associate, specializing in structural studies of hypoxia-inducible factor proteins. Prior research experience includes a postdoctoral position at UT Southwestern Medical Center focused on biochemical characterization of proteins and a PhD from USP - Universidade de São Paulo where studies centered on structural and thermodynamic properties of muscular coiled-coil proteins. Fernando holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from UFSCar and has contributed significantly to multiple research projects and collaborations throughout a career that spans over two decades.
