Sam Butler

Sam Butler is a skilled technical director with extensive experience in live digital content production, currently serving at KTLA since March 2022. Previously, Sam worked at CBS Interactive from July 2018 to November 2021, directing the ETLive stream using Ross Overdrive and Avid iNews, and developed virtual directing workflows during the pandemic. Earlier career roles included promotions producer and technical media director for KOLN/KGIN-TV and teaching digital photography at Concordia University, Nebraska. Sam's directorial experience spans various projects, such as web series and short films, alongside a successful tenure as a video producer for Mycogen Seed Research. Armed with an MFA in Film/Video Production from Regent University and a BFA in Studio Art from Concordia University, Nebraska, Sam Butler combines artistic vision with technical expertise.
