Kim Grunewald (Schlie) has extensive legal experience, currently serving as General Counsel and Vice Chancellor for Legal Affairs at The University of Kansas since 2011, with previous roles as Interim General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel. Prior to this position, Grunewald worked as an Assistant Attorney General at the Kansas Attorney General's Office from 2008 to 2011 and held positions at the City of Chicago as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in both the Police Policy Litigation Division and the Building and Land Use Litigation Division from 2001 to 2007. Grunewald holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Kansas (2016 - 2018), a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law (1997 - 2000), and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of Kansas (1993 - 1997).
