Alison Ackerman

Alison Ackerman is a Materials Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since August 2020, with prior experience as a Board Member for the Detroit Chapter of ASM International, where Alison coordinated events for young members and contributed to the chapter's strategic decisions from June 2018 to August 2020. Previously, Alison worked as a Failure Analysis Engineer at Element Materials Technology, conducting metallographic evaluations and collaborating with customers. Alison also engaged in research at Lehigh University on powder metallurgy and interned in metallurgical roles, preparing samples for testing and organizing data. Alison holds a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Lehigh University, completed in 2015, and has a background in leadership and teamwork through previous roles as an Orientation Leader and a Capstone Team Member.
