Robert Arthur

Robert Arthur is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in civil engineering and atmospheric research. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since March 2017, Robert previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Berkeley from October 2015 to February 2017, focusing on thermally-driven atmospheric flows in mountainous terrain using the Weather Research and Forecasting Model. Prior to that, Robert was a Doctoral Student at Stanford University from June 2011 to January 2016, where research involved the dynamics, energetics, and transport related to breaking internal waves on slopes through direct numerical simulations. Robert holds a PhD and MS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering Science from the University of Virginia.
