Ky Hacker has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2011, Ky worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at ANZ. From 2012 to 2013, Ky served as an Enterprise Account Executive at Dun & Bradstreet. From 2013 to 2017, Ky worked as a Management Consultant for boutique firms, providing strategic and technical expertise to new ventures and mid-market businesses. Engagements included commercialisation strategy, business modelling, and M&A advisory. In 2017, Ky joined New Zealand Trade and Enterprise as the Manager of International Growth & Strategy. From 2018 to 2019, Ky worked as an Associate Director of Management Consulting at PwC. In 2019, Ky became the General Manager of Lime in New Zealand. From 2020 to 2022, Ky held multiple roles at FileInvite, including Head of Operations, Vice President of Operations and Revenue, and Chief Revenue Officer. Currently, Ky is the Chief Revenue Officer at LeapThought, starting in May 2023.

Ky Hacker attended Hillcrest Highschool from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a NCEA Lvl3 degree. Later, from 2006 to 2009, Ky attended Victoria University of Wellington and graduated with a BCA degree in Finance, Accounting, and Commercial Law. In addition to their formal education, Ky Hacker obtained certifications such as being a Member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand in December 2020 and being an Approved Valuation Partner - IP Financing Scheme from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore in September 2016.
