Andrew Emerick

Andrew Emerick, Ph.D., is an accomplished data scientist with substantial expertise in AI and data modeling in the insurance and technology sectors. Currently serving as Staff AI Data Scientist at Lemonade since August 2022, Andrew leads feature engineering and data pipeline development for predictive telematics features, impacting over 100,000 customers. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Data Scientist at Metromile, where Andrew managed behavioral driving models, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at both Columbia University and The Carnegie Institution for Science, focusing on astrophysical simulations and data analysis. Andrew holds a Ph.D. in Astronomy from Columbia University and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude.
