Kohei Fujimoto

Kohei Fujimoto is an accomplished aerospace engineer with extensive experience in space situational awareness and navigation. Currently serving as Director and Senior SDA Solutions Architect at LeoLabs since February 2022, Kohei leads field applications engineering in Japan and the Asia Pacific region. Prior roles include Senior GNC Engineer and GNC Engineer at Astroscale, where responsibilities involved mission science liaison and navigation engineering for space debris monitoring and removal missions. Kohei's academic background includes a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, as well as a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. Additional experience includes positions as Assistant Professor at Utah State University, Postdoctoral Research Associate at Texas A&M University, and Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder.
