Michael Bergen is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design and user experience within the educational technology sector. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Product Design and UX at Lexia Learning since October 2020, Bergen leads the Creative Group, overseeing game design, art, and UX initiatives for a diverse portfolio of literacy and language products. Previously, Bergen held various leadership roles at Lexia, including Creative Director and Senior Art Director, managing teams responsible for student-facing products. Bergen's career began at the Honolulu Advertiser as a Lead Illustrator and progressed through significant positions in design consulting and art direction, including a notable tenure at ChaosFactory, Inc. and a successful partnership with Hampton-Brown/National Geographic School Publishing. Bergen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.
