Anne-Marie Butts' work experience began in 2005 as a Graduate Recruitment Manager at JPA. Anne-Marie then worked as a Technology Banking Recruitment Specialist at Nicoll Curtin from 2009 to 2011. Starting in 2012, Anne-Marie joined Lawrence Harvey as the Head of Talent Acquisition & Training. During their time there, they played a role in the company's growth and expansion, and developed training programs. In 2015, they became the Head of People at LHi Group, where they focused on driving growth, supporting key business objectives, and establishing HR practices and a stand-alone L&D function. Anne-Marie eventually became the Director - Head of People at LHi Group before assuming their current role as the Chief People Officer in 2022. In this position, they oversee all people-related functions for LHi Group's international offices and is responsible for attracting and developing talent.

Anne-Marie Butts has a Bachelor's degree in Communication from James Cook University. In 2009 to 2010, they attended Birkbeck, University of London, where they studied Financial Markets. Additionally, in 2021, they completed a course called "Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing" at LinkedIn. Anne-Marie also briefly attended London Business School in 2021, but the degree and field of study are unknown.
