Life Edit Therapeutics
Megan Williamson, Ph.D., is a scientist specializing in off-target analysis at Life Edit Therapeutics since April 2022, previously serving as a Scientist in the same area. Prior experience includes a role at Locus Biosciences, Inc. where optimization and characterization of Type I CRISPR systems in human cell lines were key responsibilities. From August 2015 to November 2021, Megan was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Student at North Carolina State University, focusing on molecular biology techniques to develop male-only systems for the Australian sheep blowfly, as well as expanding genetic tools involving CRISPR technology. Early experience includes positions as a Veterinary Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospital and Animal Husbandry Technician at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences. Megan holds a Ph.D. in Genetics and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from North Carolina State University.
