Deena John

Deena John has extensive work experience in the field of data science. Deena is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Liftoff Mobile since January 2022. Before that, they were employed at Vungle from August 2020 to January 2022 as a Senior Data Scientist, and from August 2018 to August 2020 as a Data Scientist.

Deena also has experience as a Data Science Intern at Vungle from October 2017 to June 2018, where they worked on A/B Testing and Experimental design. Deena was involved in setting up the A/B Testing framework, conducting extensive exploratory data analysis, and performing randomization tests using SQL and various tools such as Amazon Redshift, Looker, Jenkins, Spark SQL, and PySpark on Databricks.

Prior to Vungle, Deena worked as an Analyst at Fidelity Investments from January 2016 to June 2017. Deena was part of a team focused on business analytics and research. Deena'smain project involved developing a classification model for call center data, which significantly reduced processing time and improved accuracy. Deena used SVM with TF-IDF for feature extraction and Python for implementation, and built a Tableau dashboard.

Deena's professional journey started at Mu Sigma Inc., where they worked as a Decision Scientist from May 2014 to January 2016. Deena'sresponsibilities included providing analytical insights and recommendations for marketing decisions. Deena also built a propensity model using logistic regression in SAS to predict customer adoption of a loyalty program for a leading American retail corporation.

Deena John completed their Master of Science in Data Science at the University of San Francisco from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2014.
