Light Conversion
Simas Butkus is an experienced professional in the field of laser and optical engineering, currently serving as the Laser Applications Laboratory Manager and previously as a Laser Application Engineer at Light Conversion since July 2016. In these roles, Simas Butkus has focused on femtosecond micromachining feasibility testing and the design of micromachining systems. Additionally, since January 2013, Simas Butkus has been a researcher at Vilnius University, specializing in femtosecond laser micromachining and microfabrication, while also supervising bachelor's and master's student theses. Simas Butkus holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Laser and Optical Engineering from Vilnius University, obtained between 2009 and 2020.
