Mufeez Amjad

Mufeez Amjad is a skilled Software Engineer II currently employed at Linear since July 2023, recognized as the first junior engineering hire within a team of approximately 15 engineers. Mufeez has gathered substantial experience through various roles, including a Software Engineer position at Meta, where improvements to build observability were achieved, and at Cockroach Labs, where efforts focused on enhancing data ingestion and managing malformed LSM trees. Prior experience includes contributions at Splunk, Tatari, and KitchenMate, where responsibilities ranged from optimizing cloud infrastructure to implementing pricing algorithms in e-commerce. Additionally, Mufeez undertook freelance graphic design work from April 2015 to June 2018, successfully serving a diverse clientele. Mufeez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo with double minors in Combinatorics and Optimization and Computational Mathematics.
