Elizabeth Demetriou, AICP, serves as the Sr. Director of Economic Development for National Programs at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), leading a remote team focused on empowering communities through various economic development initiatives. With extensive experience, Elizabeth previously held the position of Director at LISC, where strategic support was provided to enhance service delivery. An accomplished federal grant reviewer for multiple agencies, Elizabeth also served as Deputy Director for the NYC Regional Economic Development Council at Empire State Development, where the allocation of state resources was facilitated. At the Southwest Brooklyn Industrial Development Corporation, Elizabeth advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately overseeing all programs as Deputy Director. Elizabeth is a graduate of Hunter College with a Master's in Urban Planning, specializing in Economic Development, as well as a BA in Economics and Urban Studies.
