Diego Cabrera has a diverse work experience that spans over two companies. Diego started their career at Florida Power & Light as a Nuclear Systems and Power Plant Operator, where they gained experience in operating and studying various components of a nuclear power plant. In 2006, they joined Lord Construction Group, where they held multiple roles over the years. Diego started as a Project Manager, overseeing electrical and mechanical construction for multiple projects and managing various aspects such as safety planning, procurement, and budget administration. Diego then transitioned to the role of BIM & VDC Manager, where they implemented a successful company-wide BIM/VDC program, improving Lord Construction Group's market position and financial growth. Later, they became the Director of Business Development before eventually becoming the Vice President and Partner of the company, where they actively directed and managed various field and office activities in the areas of engineering, project management, and business development for Renewable Energy and Transmission and Distribution Systems. Overall, Diego Cabrera has a strong background in construction, project management, and business development.
Diego Cabrera obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University between 1999 and 2003. Diego then pursued a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a specialization in Engineering Management Track at the University of Florida from 2003 to 2004.
