Bailian Chen

Bailian Chen is a Senior Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory with a career spanning from June 2017 to the present. Previously held positions include Staff Scientist III, Staff Scientist II, and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same laboratory. In addition to this role, Bailian has served as an Associate Editor for various publications, including the SPE Journal since July 2023 and SPE Reservoir Evaluation and Engineering from November 2017 to June 2023. Prior experience includes a research internship at The Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research in 2016 and a research internship at Chevron in 2015. Bailian Chen obtained a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa between 2013 and 2017, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from China University of Petroleum from 2010 to 2013 and 2006 to 2010, respectively.
