Dacian Tomus

Dacian Tomus is a Senior Materials Scientist at Titomic since July 2025, specializing in the materials science of severe plastic deformation in metallic materials through cold spray technology. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Lead Engineer at Romar Engineering Pty Ltd and various roles at Amaero International Ltd from December 2016 to November 2023, including Engineering, Research and Development Manager. Dacian Tomus also worked as a Research Fellow at Monash University, focusing on Selective Laser Melting with nickel super alloys and titanium-based powders, and held a research fellow position at Toyohashi University of Technology. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Engineering in Materials Engineering from Toyohashi University of Technology and studies at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. Expertise encompasses advanced experimental techniques and a keen interest in additive manufacturing and accelerated metallurgy.
