Jerry Draayer is the Co-Founder and CEO of Quantum CodeX since 2023, focusing on scientific research in Nuclear Physics and Quantum Information Science, alongside providing consulting services supported by an extensive network. With a tenure beginning in 1975, Jerry is a Full Professor at Louisiana State University, where achievements include generating approximately $30 million in external research funding and mentoring 21 doctoral students. Jerry has served three consecutive terms as Chair of the Department of Physics & Astronomy, managing departmental affairs. Previous positions include President & CEO of the Southeastern Universities Research Association, which oversaw the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Laboratory's budget expansion, and Director of Louisiana’s NSF EPCOR Program. Additionally, Jerry has conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Rochester, the University of Michigan, and the Niels Bohr Institute. Jerry earned a PhD in Physics from Iowa State University between 1964 and 1968.
