Ron Akehurst

Ron Akehurst is an accomplished professional in the field of health economics and health services research. Currently serving as the Executive Chair for Real-World Evidence and Health Economics at Lumanity since March 2022, Ron also holds the position of Chairman of the Board at BresMed Health Solutions Ltd since April 2016. Additionally, Ron has been a Professor of Health Economics at the University of Sheffield's ScHARR since 1993, where Ron is now Emeritus, and has previously served as Dean of the School. Between 2011 and 2016, Ron was the Strategic Director at BresMed, focusing on Health Technology Assessment for pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics, particularly emphasizing cost-effectiveness modeling for HTA agency submissions.
