Angelique Robold is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safeguarding and social work. Currently serving as the Global Safeguarding Lead at Lumos since November 2019, Angelique has previously held key roles including Safeguarding and Incident Manager at The Challenge, Head of Child Rights Advice and Safeguarding at the Children's Commissioner for England, and various positions at Reading Borough Council, culminating in the role of Assistant Team Manager. Angelique holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Southern California, complemented by CIPD qualifications in Human Resources Management.

Despite clear evidence of the harms of institutionalisation, an estimated 5.4 million children around the world continue to live in orphanages and other harmful institutions. Surprisingly 80% of them have a living parent or relative. Children in institutions are deprived of their basic rights and the chance to reach their full potential. Lumos exists to light a path to a brighter future for these children. We fight to tackle the causes of family separation and transform systems of care that take children away from their families and communities.
