Haifeng Xuan

Haifeng Xuan is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in optical technologies and sensor development. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at LUNA Innovations since May 2019, previous roles include Engineering Manager and Senior Optics Engineer at General Photonics. Haifeng's background includes a postdoctoral research associate position at Virginia Tech, focusing on optical fiber sensor systems, followed by research roles at Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Ltd. and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where expertise in optical devices and hardware design was cultivated. Haifeng Xuan holds a Ph.D. in Photonics from Tsinghua University and has a proven track record in advancing optical sensing, including harsh environment and distributed acoustic sensors.
