Erik Bakker has worked for various companies since 2004. In 2006, they were a lead programmer at Minoto Entertainment Europe, while in 2007, they worked as a software engineer at Lunatech Research. Erik then moved on to Minoto Interactive Media Group BV in 2008, where they also held the position of software engineer. In 2009, they joined Lunatech Labs as a software engineer, later transitioning to developing its technology strategy and became the Chief Technology Officer. Lunatech was founded in 1993 as an IT consulting, product research and development team.
