Prior positions include roles at Meta and Google, focusing on intellectual property operations and legal investigations, respectively. Ty's earlier career involved immigration case management at Berry, Appleman & Leiden LLP, and documentary production at The Greenlining Institute. Ty holds a BA in Political Science, Ethnic Studies, and Asian American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
