Laura Puurunen

Laura Puurunen has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Laura started their career in 2006 as a Tourist Officer and Museum worker at Äänekosken kaupunki. Laura then worked as a Trainee at Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere, where they gained experience in customer service and other duties of a tourist information office.

In 2008, Laura joined GoTampere Oy as a Tourist Officer, responsible for customer service and other tasks related to tourism. Laura then worked as a Front Office Employee at Lapland Safaris Ltd., where they handled bookings, sales, and other assigned tasks of a safari company.

Laura joined Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Tredea in 2011 as an Information Officer in tourism. Laura'srole included coordinating duties, customer service, sales, financial administration, and development of tourism products. Laura continued this role part-time alongside their studies until December 2014.

In 2015, Laura worked as a Project Trainee at TAMK - Tampere University of Applied Sciences, where they contributed to an environmental project by conducting communications, coordinating duties, and field work.

Laura then transitioned to Tampere Region Economic Development Agency Tredea as an Information Officer in 2016, where they continued their responsibilities in information coordination and customer service.

From 2017 to 2019, Laura worked at UPM - The Biofore Company. Laura initially served as a Billing Specialist, leading the migration and centralization of billing duties from service centers across Europe to Tampere. Laura handled billing, reporting, and process development. Later, they became a Specialist in Rebate Handling Europe, focusing on managing rebates.

Most recently, Laura joined M-Files Corporation in 2019 as a Finance Specialist / Commercial Operations, where they are currently employed.

Laura Puurunen completed their high school education at Äänekosken lukio from 2001 to 2004. Laura then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management at Vaasan ammattikorkeakoulu VAMK University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2009. In 2008, Laura was an exchange student at Rangsit University, where they studied the Asian hospitality Management -module. Later, they attended Tampere University of Applied Sciences and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology from 2013 to 2016.
