Rainer Sams

Rainer Sams is an experienced engineering professional with a robust background in thermal management systems and HVAC applications. Since July 2015, Rainer has served as Head of Application Engineering Development Modules LV at MAHLE, overseeing the acquisition, development, and series support of components for various vehicle types, including ICE, HEV, BEV, and FCEV applications, while managing a team with personnel and cost center responsibilities. Prior to MAHLE, Rainer held roles at Delphi from July 1999 to June 2015, including Systems Engineer, Program Manager, and Customer Engineering Manager, where responsibilities included leading global acquisitions and developments in HVAC and engine cooling. Rainer began their career as a Test and Project Engineer at Modine HVAC from September 1997 to June 1999. Rainer holds multiple educational qualifications, including a Master of Business Administration from ESSEC Business School and a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from FH Karlsruhe.
