Grace Bird is an accomplished professional in the fields of innovation, venture capital, and corporate partnerships, currently serving as Head of Atmosphere at Main Sequence since July 2024. Prior experience includes Senior Director of Venture Capital and Director of Early-stage Investment at Breakthrough Victoria from March 2022 to August 2024, where focus was on driving the growth of Victoria's startup ecosystem. Grace also served as an Innovation Adviser for the Victorian Government from June 2019 to March 2022, overseeing policies that fostered innovation and economic growth. Earlier roles at Australia Post included positions as Innovation Associate, Corporate Partnerships Lead, and Brand and Marketing Communications Coordinator. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing and Business Management from Monash University and a short-term study in Marketing at the University of Sussex.

These investments have led to more than 60 company collaborative projects with universities and 19 projects with CSIRO.
