Alexis Umaña

Alexis Umaña, M.Ed, is an experienced professional in educational support and conversational design. Currently serving as a Conversational Designer at Mainstay since May 2022, Alexis develops chatbot functionalities to enhance the learner and partner experience. Previously, from January 2020 to May 2022, Alexis worked as an Academic Advisor at The Ohio State University, coaching students in their academic journeys and utilizing predictive analytics for student retention. Experience also includes roles in financial aid advising at the University of Louisville and at VCA, where Alexis guided students through financial aid processes. Alexis has a strong educational background with a Specialized Master in Business Analytics and a Master of Education in College Student Counseling and Personnel Services, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy.
