Damian Thornton

Damian Thornton is a seasoned finance professional, currently serving as Director at Make-A-Wish International since November 2023 and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking at Piper Sandler since June 2022. Previously, Damian was a Partner at Stamford Partners from March 2008 to June 2022 and held the role of Vice Chair at Make-A-Wish® UK from February 2017 to May 2022. Damian's extensive experience in the banking sector includes roles as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank from January 1989 to March 2007, overseeing Consumer M&A Europe, and at Bankers Trust International from 1989 to 1999. The career began at Price Waterhouse as an Assistant Manager from 1984 to 1988. Damian earned a Master of Arts in Classics from Trinity College, Cambridge University, and attended Dulwich College and Dulwich College Prep for earlier education.
