Michael J Horwat

Michael J Horwat is an accomplished Managing Director at Mandiant, part of Google Cloud, with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and program management. Since February 2016, Michael has specialized in protecting critical infrastructure from cyber threats, demonstrating expertise in all stages of system development, including requirements scoping, design, testing, and service delivery. Prior to this role, Michael served as Operations and Deputy Program Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology, managing the Security Operations Center for the Department of Homeland Security, and as Senior Manager for the U.S. Coast Guard Computer Incident Response Team, leading critical system evaluations. Michael holds a Master of Science in Applied IT - Cyber Security from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking from Strayer University.
