James Copland is a senior fellow and director of legal policy at Manhattan Institute. James is also the vice chairman and director of Copland Fabrics, Inc., a textile-weaving company, and Copland Industries, Inc., a textile converter and finisher. James previously worked as an associate at McKinsey & Company and as a law clerk at Ralph K. Winter, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. James holds a JD from Yale Law School, an MBA in Finance from Yale School of Management, and an MSc in Politics of the World Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science, among other degrees.
