Caitlin Durkee

Caitlin Durkee is a neuroscientist with a focus on in vivo research and neural circuits related to central nervous system disorders. Currently serving as a Scientist at MapLight Therapeutics, Inc. since July 2022, Caitlin previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco, where Caitlin investigated astrocyte activity and related measures. Caitlin also held positions as a Laboratory Instructor at the University of San Francisco, and a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota, conducting extensive research on astrocytes and synaptic function. Additionally, Caitlin served as a Visiting Instructor at Macalester College and completed an Economic Development Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Early research experience includes a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health focusing on substance effects on brain structure and function. Caitlin holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota and a BS in Biology from Georgetown University.
