Ingus Rukis has extensive work experience in the field of web development and leadership roles. Ingus started their career at Latvian Television in 2002, where they worked as a web developer. In this role, they created web-based archives for news division, migrated data from MS Access database to web application, and developed various web pages for TV shows. Ingus also created statistical analysis tools for analyzing election exit poll results. In 2005, they joined SIA Draugiem as a web developer and later became a Development Team Lead. In 2011, they joined Mapon as the CTO and later became the Co CEO in 2016.
Ingus Rukis completed their education at various institutions. Ingus started their educational journey at Latvijas Universitate, where they obtained a College degree in Programming from 2001 to 2003. Ingus then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university between 2003 and 2005. Later, from 2005 to 2007, Ingus Rukis pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate as well. Continuing their educational pursuits, they attended Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In addition to their formal education, Ingus Rukis also obtained two certifications. In May 2013, they completed the "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses, Part II" course from Coursera. Prior to that, in March 2013, they completed the "Grow to Greatness: Smart Growth for Private Businesses, Part I" course, also from Coursera.
