Sia Henry is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy reform, advocacy, and social justice. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Associate at the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) since September 2022, Sia is focused on ensuring access to psychedelic-assisted healing opportunities. As the Executive Director of The Hood Exchange, Sia promotes international travel for formerly incarcerated and under-resourced Black communities to foster inspiration and community connections. Previous roles include Senior Program Specialist at Impact Justice, where Sia supported restorative justice diversion programs, and Grant Writer at The Root Social Justice Center. Sia has also contributed to compliance efforts with the National Prison Rape Elimination Act and engaged in impact litigation to improve conditions in correctional facilities. Sia holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Criminology & Criminal Psychology from Duke University.

Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana. We further our mission by: ● Developing psychedelics and marijuana into prescription medicines ● Training therapists and working to establish a network of treatment centers ● Supporting scientific research into spirituality, creativity, and neuroscience ● Educating the public honestly about the risks and benefits of psychedelics and marijuana
