Christopher Garland

Christopher Garland, MCE, is a seasoned Information Technology professional with extensive experience in leading IT services and teams across various companies. Currently serving as Senior Information Technology Manager at Markel since April 2015, Christopher focuses on directory, messaging, and 365 services while managing budgets and engaging with senior leadership to ensure service excellence. Previous roles include IT Manager for Cloud and Identity Services and IT Technical Lead, where Christopher built engineering teams, managed critical Microsoft services, and executed infrastructure modernization projects. With a strong foundation in system engineering and support from earlier positions at Apex Systems, Capital One, and others, Christopher possesses a comprehensive skill set that encompasses agile methodologies, project management, and technical support across diverse environments. Christopher holds an AAS in Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute.
