Matthew Harrup

Matthew Harrup is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as Head of Software Engineering at Marks and Spencer since October 2024, Matthew previously held the position of Senior Director at SilverRail for a brief period in early 2024. Prior roles include Associate Director of Engineering at Smart Pension from April 2021 to January 2024, and Senior Engineering Manager at Sainsbury's from December 2019 to April 2021. Matthew began a career at Travel Corporation as a Delivery Manager from March 2017 until December 2019, focusing on management and coaching throughout various roles. Matthew holds an MSci in Physics from the University of Bristol, earned from January 1996 to January 2000.
