Behshad Memari

Behshad Memari currently serves as the Head of Software Engineering at Universal Quantum, focusing on the development of scalable quantum computers based on trapped-ions. Previously, Behshad held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Improbable, where leadership was provided to the Modelling and Decision Science group, significantly expanding team size and capabilities. Prior to that, Behshad was the Engineering Manager at Continental Engineering Services and Algorithm Group Lead at Continental, overseeing diverse teams in delivering innovative algorithm solutions for automotive applications. With substantial experience in software engineering leadership roles dating back to a PhD in Communication Systems from Lancaster University, along with earlier positions at ARRIS and Pace, Behshad has established a strong foundation in advanced technologies, particularly in computer vision and network communications.
