Philipp Kleinert

Philipp Kleinert is a seasoned quantitative researcher at Marshall Wace, specializing in alpha research since September 2017. Prior to this role, Philipp served as a summer associate strategist at Goldman Sachs within the Franchise Analytics, Strategy & Technology (FAST) Strats team in FICC for a brief period in mid-2017. Philipp's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Oxford, complemented by a Master's Degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Heidelberg University. Notably, Philipp conducted doctoral research focusing on string theory and gauge/gravity duality at the University of Oxford from October 2013 to September 2017. Earlier experiences also include research internships and roles at prestigious institutions such as the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics and the German Cancer Research Center.
