Rachid Bayed has a diverse work experience in various industries. From 2011 to 2019, they worked at Masen, starting as the Infrastructures & Power Plants Director and eventually becoming the Executive Director Head of Operations. In 2018, they joined Expo 2020 Dubai as a Participant Project Manager for the Morroccan Pavilion. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, Rachid worked at Schneider Electric as a Strategic Global Account Development, where they managed international projects and focused on energy efficiency. Rachid also worked at Cegelec France as a Project Manager, overseeing a turnkey power plant project, and at VINCI Energies as a Project Manager for a pumping plant project. Rachid began their career at General Electric Healthcare as a Project Engineer.

Rachid Bayed completed their education at various institutions and pursued different degrees. In 1998, they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Mohammadia School of Engineers. In 2002, they furthered their education at CentraleSupélec, earning a Postgraduate degree in Industrial Systems and Innovation Management. In 2016, they attended Hertie School, focusing on Energy Sustainability & Climate Change. The following year, Rachid Bayed enrolled at ESCP Business School, where they completed a European Executive MBA. In 2017, they also participated in the Leading Innovation Executive Program at Cornell University.
