Ahmad Barnes

Ahmad Barnes has extensive experience in labor relations and workforce management, currently serving as the Chief Workforce Officer at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) since June 2017, where previous roles included Sr. Director of Labor Relations and Director of Labor Relations. Prior to this, Ahmad worked as a Labor Relations Specialist at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, focusing on labor law, collective bargaining, and grievance management. Additional experience includes serving as a Labor Relations Advisor for the Commonwealth's Office of Employee Relations and General Manager at FOG Inc. Ahmad's career began as a Retirement Specialist at Fidelity Investments. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Worcester State University and is a candidate in a Certificate Program in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at UMass Boston.
